Nature

White orthorhombic crystal; non-volatile, non-hygroscopic, tasteless and odorless;
very stable at room temperature and can remain unchanged for several years;
easily soluble in water and liquid ammonia, strong acidity in aqueous solution; slightly soluble in methanol;
Insoluble in ethanol and ether. It has dual functional groups of amino and sulfonic acid groups and can chemically
react with a variety of substances. It has a melting point of 205°C and a decomposition temperature of 209°C.

Use

Used for metal cleaning to remove the oxide layer on the metal surface;
it is less corrosive to metals than other inorganic acids, and can be used for boiler cleaning and water treatment sterilization;
It can also be used for the bleaching and transformation of fiber, wood and paper, the removal of nitrite in tobacco, and the acidification of oil mine sludge;
It can be used as raw material for coatings and PH test paper, flame retardant for cotton fiber, curing agent for resin, pesticide intermediate and raw material for various sulfamic acid derivatives.
